Ipos Technology Second in ASML Young Makers Award

Winners of the prestigious ASML Young Makers Award 2019 were announced in an event held on October 4, 2019. Ipos Technology was one of the finalists.

The Award, which is organized annually by ASML - world leading chip-makers, and JCI Eindhoven - a network for entrepreneurs under 40 years old from the Eindhoven region of The Netherlands, aims to help start-up companies with their marketing and to give them a platform to realize their goals. Ipos Technology joined Polariks as the two finalists.

Dennis van der Wiel from Polariks and Menke Steenbergen, CEO of Ipos Technology, were given five minutes to introduce their respective companies as the finalists, and convince a public audience of their products.

Horse-loving members of the audience saw great opportunities for optimizing their own riding skills in favor of horse health from the glowing presentation on Ipos Technology's Rein Sensors that was given by Menke Steenbergen. As the date of the event fell on World Animal Day, the welfare element of Ipos Technology's product was particularly well-received.

The finalist's pitches were followed by an interlude, during which the audience was invited to interact in the selection process through a mobile phone survey. Their input included, for example, naming what they considered to be the most important factor for success, such as 'vision', 'passion', 'perseverance', 'resilience' and 'creativity'. Eventually, the audience designated Polariks as the winner. In addition to winning a cash sum, this young company has been offered various coaching programs from ASML, NTS Group, and Reijnders Lawyers. As Runner-Up, Ipos Technology did not go home empty-handed. It was awarded a valuable workshop on 'brand-driven business' from local branding agency, Delta Zuid.
